Sydney, performing the art of life

Five days in Sydney…  it was too short to discover Australia but long enough to make me feel like coming back and stay longer in this country. After two months of countryside life in New Zealand, I was expecting that Sydney would be stressful with all the disadvantages of a megalopolis. Yet, I was incredibly surprised at discovering a city endowed with a multitude of huge parks, beaches  of turquoise water as good as the Caribbeans (without exaggerating!), plenty of outdoor activities and a general laid back attitude creating an easy-going and friendly atmosphere among the people… In other words, nothing to do with the image one can have of a big city and definitely a place to settle down!

Couchsurfing in an eco-flat

Before closing the chapter New Zealand, I’d like to introduce some nice people I met at the end of  my down under adventures. They are actually very special, they even won the “Eco My Flat” competition during which they had to transform their house into an eco-friendly space…

Christchurch, last days in kiwi land

Trees are blushing in this part of the southern hemisphere, enjoying bright sunrays as death is approaching slowly. This is the fall, the end of a cycle for the nature, the end of my trip in New Zealand… (more…)
